about

A comical, musical re-write by Australian multiple #1 on-line jazz musician, composer and recording artist Greg Englert that shows that Jazz (Razz) was actually invented in the 1870's in the US by Melvin Jackson. Melvin also invents the trumpet by adding 4 valves to a Civil War Bugle and invents audio recording years before Edison. The album includes narratives, original songs (digitally unedited!) and lyrics of Melvin's songs that were stolen and became jazz standards in the early 1900's with slight changes. Most tracks are free download and the songs are a minimal price. Please enjoy the laugh.

Track Name: Walking my Tuba back home
Gee it's great after playing till late, walking my Tuba back home
People pass by and they give us the eye, walking my Tuba back home
I take some time to give her a shine, and put some oil on her valves
We play a song then continue along, walking my Tuba back home
We stop for a while, she gives me a smile, I give her a pat on her bell
We play some scales and pause for a while, my Tuba she treats me so well
It's alright if it takes all night, we're never ever alone
One more song then we continue along, walking my Tuba back home
